Field Day

Field Day

We are looking forward to Field Day on Friday, May 15th! This is a special day where students celebrate the end of the school year through games, teamwork, and outdoor activities.

We are also grateful to partner with Fort Riley, whose volunteers will be joining us to support Field Day activities and help make the day a success for our students.

We would love to welcome families to join us and enjoy watching students participate in this fun event.

Field Day Schedule:
K–2nd Grade: 8:45 a.m. – 10:45 a.m.
3rd–5th Grade: 1:00 p.m. – 3:30 p.m.
To help ensure a safe and enjoyable day, please make sure your child:
  • Wears tennis shoes (no sandals or open-toed shoes)
  • Wears comfortable clothing appropriate for physical activity
  • Wears clothing that can get wet
  • Dresses appropriately for the weather
  • Brings a water bottle labeled with their name
  • May wear sunscreen to school that day; for grades 3–5, sunscreen may be sent with students. Please note that staff are not able to apply sunscreen for students.

Since this is the last Friday of the school year, there will not be a make-up date in the event of inclement weather.

We look forward to a wonderful day filled with fun, teamwork, and school spirit. Thank you for your continued support!

PTO Updates

Thank you for the thoughtful and generous teacher appreciation donations! Because of your support and contributions, we enjoyed a fantastic Mario Kart–themed week filled with fun and celebration.
We are truly grateful for your kindness and for the many ways you continue to support our staff. It made the week extra special!

This Month in Specials

LIBRARY
In library this month, we will be celebrating literacy with fun spring and summer reads. We will set reading goals for the summer and will hear about opportunities for summer reading from the Manhattan Public Library.

ART
May is finally here! In art class we will be working on our clay projects. We will end the year with self portraits to compare to our first art assignment in August. I absolutely love to see how much the students art skills have grown over the year. The coveted art folders will be going home soon! Thank you so much for sharing your children with me this year in the art room!

P.E.
In physical education, we will be playing tossing games and preparing for Field Day. Field Day will take place on May 15. We hope you’re able to come out and watch your student participate!
